Sickness humour

Told my new job team lead in conversation (we were just chatting about food and pastimes and stuff while in the office) that I have a bunch of health issues so try to only eat once a day - didn’t mention the MS - and her response was “oh I hope you don’t die soon”, then the look of shock on her face after she realised what she said had me cackling 😂 I just replied that I guess that means my work is good 😅

People say the strangest things! Glad you are taking it in good heart & are t upset by it. No doubt they were mortified when they realised what they had said! Hope it all continues well for you. 😁

@ClaireVS She’s not a native English speaker so I’m not sure she was mortified but she did seem to be considering what she’d do if I went to HR 🤣 Plus, taking it to heart isn’t my style. She just doesn’t know that yet. Bless her.
