Every medication has a potential for side effects, even typical over th counter medications like aspirin or Benadryl have a non-zero probability of causing an effect that is not the intended action. The most effective MS medicines are B Cell Depletors (Ocrevus, Rituximab, Kesimpta, Briumvi) and there is also a slightly older medication called Tysrabi that makes the blood brain barrier much more robust. The B cell depletors kill your B cells which greatly reduces the ability of your immune system to have the right tools and motivation to attack your central nervous system. Tysrabi turns the blood brain barrier into a nearly impermeable barrier preventing your immune cells from crossing into the central nervous system. Most people handle all of these meds with little to no side effects, you should ask your neurologist to lay out the data that shows the effectiveness of the medication and the probability of their individual side effects. You should also ask them to give you the “side effect” of additional attacks based on your case from taking a less effective medicine. I am on Briumvi and I have had no issues whatsoever. Good luck
