I was wondering, I have to notify DVLA but i do get help with general duties in the house my daughter helps loads. Will this stop me driving being honest with them?

You should notify the DVLA and your car insurance company. The DVLA will contact your neurologist who will write a report about your fitness to drive. Until they receive this report you can continue driving ( unless you know that your not fit to drive eg optic neuritis could effect your eye sight) . The DVLA will then probably renew your license for a set time, my first was for three years. I then had to renew my license, again and again wait for a neuro report from my neurologist. Once they’re got this, my license was renewed this time for five years. Once the dvla have your license in their system for renewal, regardless of how long it takes for the medical reports to come through you can continue to drive without having your physical license. ( it look my neurologist some five months to do the paperwork, but admin is not one of her strengths! ) .
