Spinal tap panick!
Okay so one more week and it's time for the spinal tap and I won't lie I'm really starting to get worried...to begin with I'm not allowed anyone to come in with me..I'm worried of the pain..I'm just working myself up but keeping it to myself as not to worry those around me....I'd rather have another MRI then this! Can anyone help me with some positive vibes and how long for results...I've already had the blood tests done....

I can honestly say that I only felt a small amount of pressure during the procedure itself. Then they log rolled me onto a gurney because you are supposed to stay horizontal for at least 2 hours before you hop in your car and head home. Then continue to lay horizontal for 24 hours at home. You can sit up to eat and go to the bathroom . This will prevent any kind of spinal headache. It was honestly super easy and seamless... And not near as long as an MRI! Hope this helps. I was a nervous wreck before mine as well. Just did my research... And stuck to my guns about needing to stay laying down.
Hang in there. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Just try to stay calm, hydrate well the day before, I don’t recall but I want to say I took some Advil before hand to help combat the possible post spinal tap headache but it’s been like 12 years since I had it done. You got this!
