Spinal tap
Hello everyone...I had my first neurological appointment yesterday...I've now been put forward for a spinal tap injection...just wanted to know people's experience with this and what I can expect...thank you in advance

@nesha71 It's not the most pleasant procedure, I'd say uncomfortable rather than painful. It's not a long drawn out thing either, and I was able to walk back to my car after a short rest. You'll probs be advised to take things easy for a while.
I worked myself up into our total state about mine, but in the end it wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected. I was given lidocaine to numb the area, and because it was my back, I couldn’t see the needle at all, so it was over before I knew it!
