Told my family about my diagnosis
I got diagnosed a couple weeks ago and have been sharing the news with my loved ones. My parents took it like a shot in the chest. They fully think my life is over, despite me trying to give them good information about treatment and outcomes and all. They’ve been calling me every day with more crazy questions.
Called my brother today to tell him.
Me: Hey just calling to tell you I finally got an MS diagnosis
Bro: Whoa you’re Mega Stupid?
It’s been a very nice reminder that when everyone else thinks the world is ending, my brother will take his eyes off the meteor long enough to make fun of me :)
Welcome, glad to hear you shared it with your family, some people have a hard time sharing it with there loved ones, but when things begin to get hard for you, it will be nice to have the support of your family. Believe me, your going to need it, I thank God I have my husband and my 2 kids. God Bless.
Thank goodness for people like your brother who in a second can raise your spirits! It's also great your parents care for you - they are coming to terms with your diagnosis - they will 'settle down' and get used to it, I'm sure. Stay positive & hang out with your brother!
