Suggestions for protein sources?

My mom has been living with MS for nearly 40 years and over the past few months she has decided to phase out meats and a lot of processed foods from her diet. She says that they make her feel worse. We (her kids and husband) have noticed that she is getting weaker and falling more since this happened. I was just wondering if anyone any insight as to what her protein needs would be? She's in her 60s and my sister estimates her weight to be about 130lbs. I personally eat a very high protein diet and have a lot of non-meat/high-protein staples in my diet that I would like to get her to try, but I am looking for guidance on whether or not MS affects how much protein is necessary to sustain her muscle mass.

First off I'm sorry you're going through this and I hope you guys find a good way to get through it not exactly an answer to your question and everybody's different but For myself currently I'm eating garbage but I tend to go on 3 to 5 months since of Keto and I feel so much better when doing that now my diet personally is reducing sugar obviously getting away from processed foods would be best for me as well but I find that diet makes a huge difference on my day-to-day and how I feel Saying this out loud is making me realize I need to stop eating candy and go back to my diet
