A good way to about applying is have your doctor(s) help you. It is best for your neurologist and primary be on the same page and know you are applying for disability. HHS will contact your doctors and if they know then your best wait is only a few months. Know If you do get rejected, apply again and keep applying until you are accepted. If you want to you can also get an attorney to help but I’m not to sure how much that costs. I was lucky enough to only apply once, but depending on your age and your state every few years you will have to reapply. Also the sitting president has a lot to do with how SSA treats the process
It took about 2 1/2 years. I had an attorney on the 2nd go around. She was great. She gathering all the documentations from doctors, vocational rehab, and used all the proper wording.
