Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with MS in November last year. Because the referral went through privately, the wait to be seen by the MS team at UCLH has been very long. I finally have my first appointment tomorrow. I’m wondering what sort of timeframe I might be looking at before I can start on a DMT. My private neurologist advised that I’d need an up-to-date smear test plus the shingles and pneumonia vaccinations beforehand, which I’ve already completed — hopefully that will help speed things up. I’m currently off work until I get started on treatment, and I’m getting quite anxious about how much longer this might take. Any insights from people who’ve been through the process at UCLH (or similar specialist centres) would be really appreciated. Thanks so much.
