Need help
Hi all who read and respond.
I’m a 44 year old female.
I have endo - pocs and need my lumbar puncture to confirm MS, I have lesions on spine and Genu of brain.
I would be educated in certain things like sensory issues/ cognitive issues as I am a mother to a child with special needs and have done courses to help due to lack of help from our health system.
I suffer a lot of dizzy spells and this really affects my daily functioning
Tingling and numbness in hands, feet I think I’m just so use to this, it bothers me but I have no choice but to get on!
My neurologist has suggested a monthly injection starting with K sorry I forgot the name.
Is anyone on this does it help with the dizziness etc.
It was suggested by neuro to be started on weight loss injections for my pcos I’m not by any means overweight but with limited exercise due to this dizziness I’m getting bigger between 14-16 size. I’m am very reluctant to use these anyone else with pcos and how did you shift weight.
I used to walk 5-7km per day last year now I can barely make it up the stairs.
I don’t know what type of MS I did read there’s a few so I have to wait till Jan 2025 to find out.
Many thanks
Hi @lalaw01 Sorry to hear about the difficulties you’re dealing with. I can’t say I can help with every point here but maybe shine a little light on something. I would guess the DMT is KESIMPTA. I believe it’s a self injection given monthly and it’s relatively new but deemed high efficacy and is used commonly. I’m not sure it will directly deal with dizziness but maybe an MS Nurse can help with something for that. My understanding of this DMT is to put the breaks on and stop further lesions developing. In terms of the ‘type’ of MS, it’s more of a clinical definition to help identify a treatment path and what DMT would suit best. However, it looks like your team have hinted towards their proposal. I would recommend looking at MS Trust.org for information on the condition generally and avoid Dr. Google. However, you’ve got a supportive community here too for any questions. All the best
@ScottJ thanks, I try to stay away from google, As it’s forever negative. Thanks
