Oral surgery question

Hi everyone. I’m new here and am looking at a probable MS diagnosis. I have some additional testing to get done, but everything is pointing in that direction. In addition to that, I am scheduled for a gum grafting procedure next week. My neurologist said it’s fine to have it done, but I’m anxious about it, along with everything else that has me anxious. I’m sure this is a unique question, but I was wondering if it’s okay to have it done based on the immune cells…will they respond negatively to oral surgery now? Could I have a more difficult recovery or increased risk of infection? I’d rather not take antibiotics “just in case,” but don’t know if the dentist will prescribe them or not. I’m not currently on any other meds. Not sure if anyone can help, but I thought I’d reach out and try. Thank you so much for any advice.
@boss

Hopefully you don’t have MS.You will be fine, I’ve had bone grafting done by the dentist before. It’s better to do it now before starting a MS medication regimen.

@boss thank you! That’s what I’m thinking too. Just too much happening right now and so much to process. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I hope you are well.
