NHS lumbar puncture

How long did you have to wait for the results from your lumbar on the NHS? It’s been 4 weeks today, I’ve asked for the results but been told they won’t tell me until my next in person appointment in another 4 weeks

I actually was never told the result of my LP, I was just told MSers usually have a higher content of T-cells in their spinal fluid. I think they just use the LP as confirmation of suspected multiple sclerosis anyway.

I was told within 2-3 week time frame waiting for all the tests to come back. Once they came back i got a portal msg from my ms Dr within 10 mins to set up an appt for treatment.
