MS nurse??
I got told to go to urgent care today for an eye issue getting worse. They asked me if I had told MS nurse but I was diagnosed a few weeks ago and have no idea who MS nurse is or how to contact them. Topic of MS nurse never came up in diagnosis appointment at all so a bit clueless.
They said to contact neurology to ask but I’ve been trying to get in touch with them a few times last week and had no luck. Anyone know how I find out the details if I still can’t get through to neurology tomorrow? Is there another team I can try to contact?
If you’re in the UK, call your consultant’s secretary through your hospital’s switchboard . The office will be staffed every morning at least m Find out if there’s an MS nurse in your hospital by calling the switchboard and asking for the MS nurse. They will tell you if there’s one or not.
The only piece of advice is for you to go to see your neurologist ASAP. If I was you, I’d just show up at their office since they don’t return your calls. Is the neurologist the one who diagnosed you? My neurologist diagnosed me this year on 2/13/2026 and I believe all neurologists are or should be well versed in MS. Eye issues are not taken lightly with relation to MS. Good luck, I hope this helps you!
