A possible MS diagnoses

Hey. I’ve recently had an MRI scan which showed central demyelination in my spinal cord and it’s most likely to be MS (still waiting for a confirmation and you know what waiting lists are like). I’m a little nervous as I already have chronic seizures, Fibromyalgia and FND so I was hoping to find a bit more about people’s experiences. Google isn’t being very helpful with a ton of misinformation so it’ll be nice to hear it straight out of fhe horse’s mouth.

Hi @josiej8, I hope you get some answers soon. They will use the McDonald criteria most likely (space & time) which will look at how many lesions and whether you have had episodes / relapses. Took about 4 weeks from my 2nd MRI to see the neurologist (but I guess mostly due to the type I have). Not sure where you are in UK but I’m under James Cook in Middlesborough and they are really good 👍

@bambi858 hey. Thanks for your help. I’m based in London under Kings and their waiting list is huge so it’s making me more anxious. But thanks for your input I’ll look up the McDonald’s theory and find out more.
