How long did you wait before getting a 2nd opinion???
I have not been diagnosed yet and going on 6 months well I’m sure it’s been longer but since I’ve started studdering and with a lot of other MS symtoms. Have seen several doctors, bloodwork, CT and several MRI - lesion found but neurologist says it’s white matter and not related but I’m just getting worse and worse. I’ve lost peripheral vision and vision is blurry but they say it’s dry eyes now I have a Lumbar Puncture scheduled and she referring me to a mobility Neurologist and physical therapy. I’m 53 years old so while there are days that are better there are days that are just as worse and more painful. Do I continue with this same Neurologist or go get a 2nd Opinion???
There is nothing wrong in getting a second opinion. Try and find a neurologist who specialises in MS - general neurologists don't necessarily know what to look for - it's all in the fine detail! All the best
@ClaireVS the Neurologist that I am seeing is a MS Specialist but I’ve had to advocate for myself too because she cannot determine what is going on and more time keeps going by
