How often do people relapse
Hi I'm sorry if this is a bit personal but I'm wondering how often does everyone relapse?
I'm newly diagnosed and wanting some more info and support.

@jellycat There is no given formula with regards to relapses and how often. It varies according to each individual with MS. I think if you can get on a good DMT early in your diagnosis, that can slow down or stop your relapses but again, it varies from person to person. I would try and give yourself time. You need to live with this disease to get to know how, and when, it is going to affect you. It is not an exact science. Try and get into the habit of writing down things that happen to you, when it happened, what your symptoms where, how long did it last, has this happened before. You are the best judge of your MS. I was diagnosed 11 years ago and haven't had a relapse since. Different story for others.
You need to get on a highly effective DMT particularly if you are newly diagnosed. Good luck!
