MS & bladder - newbie
Hello, I was diagnosed with MS in 2023 after 5 long years of trying to get answers from my GP.
Unfortunately it wasn't found until my body was in quite a bad way. I ended up bed bound and with a catheter for 3 months. Throughout my time in hospital all I wished, is that I'd be able to walk again but I never considered possible bladder problems.
I relearned to walk but my bladder doesnt work. I've self cathetered since November 2023. Last week I opted to go back to an inter-dwelling catheter (flip flow) as I never had any problems with it while in hospital.
However, I now have another UTI. I've had at least 1 UTI every month since November 2023 when I left hospital and I'm really struggling to see how I can continue like this.
I just wanted to see if anyone had any similar issues and could give me some light. I know everyone's different. I'm just really struggling right now.
Hello🤗 I couldn't hold my urine for a month, but it got better later. I hope it gets better, it's a really difficult situation.
@muhammetk I'm so glad it got better! Its a really rubbish set of cards to get eh 😅
