What kinds of things were you diagnosed with before finding MS was the actual diagnosis?
I’ve been an MS suspect for 15 years. It seems no one is listening at all. Ex: bowel/bladder incontenance. Feeling like my scalp is detached from my head and locks of hair dragging across my head. Falling because right leg drags, spinning in head neck spine and waist. Unable to make my right hand do what I’m telling it to. Severe mental decline. Grand mal seizure. And the list goes on and on. What was I JUST diagnosed with today? Migraine. Are you fing kidding me?!? Really?
Carpal tunnel syndrome. After surgery (1 hand at a time)I went blind in my right eye.
Well the old neurologist was treating me for headaches at first only to find out I have Intercranial Hypertension. That's a whole mess on its own. I had a lesion on my brain at the time and all of the symptoms of MS but he said he didn't want to put that big of a diagnosis on me at that time because of age and insurance. IDIOT. I had thyroid cancer in 2019 and when I had my next MRI for my IIH there was a spot on my cervical spine that he didn't know what it was and sent me to a ortho-oncologist because he thought my cancer had spread. It hadn't spread obviously. Anyway after not seeing the man in person for 2 years, during and after covid I found a new neurologist and after 1 visit with his NP, who was 99% sure I had MS a new brain, cervical spine and thoracic spine MRI, which showed the brain lesion, the spot on my cervical spine, which was actually a new lesion the whole time and a new lesion on my thoracic spine he diagnosed me with MS. I have other health issues also that are all autoimmune. I can list all of them and my symptoms if you would like me to.
