Ocrevus.... To jab or not to jab?
I've been offered the drive through style ocrevus jab in place of the lengthy infusion. My concern is that whenever I've had the infusion in the past and get to the part where they speed up the flow rate I always get a scary histamine reaction so they have to slow it down again. So, as appealing as it sounds I'm wondering what other people's experience of the speedy jab is like compared to the old style infusion. Clearly there's going to be no slowing down the effects of the speedy jab once you've had it, that's it.
What say you fine people?
Thanks in advance 👍🏻
I have been offered the injection for my next infusion. I kinda like the rest I get. gives me time, and I don't feel qiltey for resting .
I haven't had the infusion but started with the Ocrevus jab so unable to offer a comparison but can share my experience. I was given the tablets and antihistamine by tablets first, half an hour later the 10 minutes injection. I think because it is administered differently i.e under the skin rather than in the vein it might be a slower way of getting round your body? I didn't feel the liquid go in at all, my skin on my stomach did flush straight away but did not feel it reacting and no one seemed concerned so all good.
