Giving up meds

Hi there Looking for thoughts rather than an answer obviously but wondering what people think about cutting out all medication altogether? I'm on tysabri infusions aswell as other things but just lately the side effects are really kicking my ass just makes you wonder really? Love hearing other peoples thoughts x

How long have you been on Tysabri? A long time or just a short time. Do you take any other medications for your MS? Like I take Ampyra to help me with my balance and walking. I would dare get off that. Talk to your neurologist. They have a different opinion.

I would consider discussing with your consultant before making a decision. From what I heard it depends on many factors such as how long you’ve been on tysabri, what other meds you’re on, physical wellbeing etc. I was told the only moment it’s advised to go off meds altogether is after 10 years of relapse free on DMTs. Not sure if this helps
