Adjusting to change
Hi everyone, new to all this but thought I'd be brave and post! I was diagnosed just as covid kicked in and progressed very quickly unfortunately, I'm struggling a wee bit with all the massive life changes, gone from being a fiercely independent workaholic to having my husband help dress me, in a wheelchair and have just very grudgingly applied for Ill health retirement. Seems insane at how quickly everything's happened, I'm struggling with the "acceptance" part of it all, just more of a rant really! 🤣
Same situation, got covid around may and by august 27th my son had to call 911 was with vomiting and strong vertigo , after mrl with contrast cleared dowson fingers and can’t be standing for longer a hour, inflammation is very strong used to work 8-14 hours a day everything changed
Hi @dollydaydream81 ❤️wishing positive vibes and energy for you x I know we all can relate to the initial shock and disbelief. That MS boulder comes really fast and hits hard no lie! Just remember even though there are changes that are beyond our power- what we were capable of doing before was just one version of ourselves. MS seems to love to go after those who never ask for help, prefer to serve others, are independent and type A personalities. Maybe it wants us to finally focus on ourselves? I’m trying to personify this silly disease and perhaps make it a bit nicer- like a grandma lol
