Has anyone started a medication and never had to switch because of it working ?!

Seeing here a lot about people on a medication for years, but then they eventually have a relapse and switched to something else. It just sounds like everything I’m trying to avoid being a test dummy..

Medications slow progression, they don’t cure ms. The efficacy of B cell depleters is high (meaning they are good at delaying progression). After a long time, people switch because sometimes the meds stop working or for other side effects reasons. We are all test dummies in a way because we are all different. There is a saying in statistics that “no one is the average”. You got to find what works for you.

I wouldn’t say you a “test dummy”, but this is a life long disease, so if a person gets a relaspe while on medication that only means it stopped working and there are better medication out there now your dr may consider for you to try, you can continue to allow MS to win, or take the holistic approach, you will find on the platform many have went that route and were successful and some were not, in the end it is always your choice on whatever you decide
