As someone that had severe depression and anxiety even before I was fully diagnosed I have to say this, depression does suck and it's okay to be nervous but you might not need medication for and if you do then that's ok too, just find the right medicine for you and things will be nice again and hey if you need someone to talk to about anything depression based then I'm open, I don't know much about MS though, but just know that taking antidepressants doesn't make you any less of a person and if needed are a essential part of your recovery, hope these words helped you.
PPMS diagnosed 2013, first flagged as possible 2002, started sertraline anti dep in 2009 following a hospital stay with bilateral pulmonary embolism. A history of anxiety, depression & ptsd late 1990's resulting in medical retirement from police force. Have stayed on antidepressants since 2009 and they keep my ms condition stable and manageable, by keeping my brain chemicals balanced. Living with ms grinds you down day after day, if taking a pill every morning helps that battle....take it. In the main I keep positive, it's the only way to get through each day, exercise as much as you can manage and find reasons to smile and laugh daily. Good luck 👍
