Spinal tap
Hi I am new to this app and wanted to get some feedback, I have to get my first spinal tap this week and wanted to get some advice on what to expect and how to best prepare. Thank you in advance any help would be much appreciated

IMO, I felt pressure from it but it wasn’t as bad as people told me it would be. I did take it easy for the rest of the day after having it by making sure to lay on my back with my head elevated slightly to avoid getting a headache. I was back to normal the next day after having it. I would suggest that you relax and if you are a bit squeamish of needles, use some ear buds to listen to soothing music. Other than that you will be fine. Also, they are going to take fluid from the area around your lumbar spine. They are not actually injecting into your spine. That was a huge relief to me.
I have had a few now, hated all. The last one that I had i told the doc that I dont want to feel any part of it .... gladly I didn't.
