Day 6 of Spinal Tap
I was just diagnosed last week with my MRI and had spinal tap last Wednesday. The headache was insance day 3 which they told me to expect. But what is confusing me is the back spasm like pain and now horrible neck spasm/ pain that I think triggered my left hand to partially numb since yesterday. Idk if thats due to neck pain or MS but my neck is not as bad while the hand numbness is still their. Plus Im worried how long will the headache and spasms last. The doctor prescribed a Ketorlac and dexamethasone twice the last few days to manage the extreme headache but I go one day better the next day I feel pain crippling back. Has anyone gone through something like this after a spinal tap and if so how long did it take to recover?
Good morning. When I had my first spinal tab completed in July of 2025 it did leave me with a horrible headache that I had to go to the er. On e I was there they did an MRI and told me there was swelling. They then started some meds through iv kept me overnight and at about 4 in the morning they did another MRI and the swelling and everything was gone. If you keep feeling like that maybe you might want to get checked at the we to make sure nothing is going on.
