Symptoms that come and go? Problems with consultations

I went to see my optician who reffered me to local eye clinic, as I had double vision, a small left pupil and a squint that had changed direction after 40 years! And a drooping eyelid ptosis. I got an appointment 6 weeks later, only to be told I needed to see an Opthamologist, was told I would get next available appointment, got my appointment, 8 weeks after 1st! Due to go in 2 weeks and although I am still having vision problems- told it was not ON, the ptosis and small pupil seem to have gone. My question is, how when MS symptons can come and go, can you get a true diagnoses when it takes so long to see a consultant? Still get blurred vision and find it hard to focus and read normal size print.

I have RRMS and the symptoms come and go all the time, especially when I go to see a doc, lol. It makes it hard to get confirmation on things. So it's a case of they don't see it, but I know it's happened. Oh the joys of MS eh?

For suspected relapses I have to call the MS team at the hospital, but I make a note of smaller symptoms and go in to see my consultant with a list of what has been happening over the last six months. He usually picks which ones he's most worried about, and I suppose MS works in a way that a symptom that goes away isn't secretly getting worse, it's just probably not a serious issue anymore so they see no point in trying to fix something that has already fixed itself, though sometimes a bit of acknowledgement would be nice.
