I’ve decided to start a GLP-1 injection. Who else is on it? How have you found it?

I’m going to start a weight loss injection, in the last two years of my diagnosis I’ve gained over 3stone (20kg). I’ve asked my MS team and they have said it’s safe so I am going to do it. I just want to hear others experiences?
@gratefulme

I haven’t started but I am planning to also so would be great to hear any feedback also. I haven’t really got much to go off other than a few friend’s experiences otherwise I don’t really know where to start.

I have been on tirzepatide (Mounjaro or Zepbound) since I was diagnosed in October 2025 with Type 2 Diabetes. I also started 16:8 intermittent fasting and removed most processed food from my diet. To date I have lost almost 90 pounds. My advice, make sure you take the opportunity that the injection gives you to drastically change your lifestyle. -Change how you eat and what you eat, it makes it much easier to stay focused when you come off it. - Resistance training is not optional. Weight loss is not only fat, you will lose muscle mass which is not great for someone with MS. You need to tell your body to keep the muscles by making them work. -Protein intake is not optional. You need to consume a significant amount of protein, again to ensure that your body maintains as much muscle mass as possible. Look up Dr Amin Hedayat on YouTube, he has some good information on how the drugs work and how to most effectively use them.
