Personally, I try to check in with my doctor (neurologist) once a month. I will always reach out to her if I feel like I am having a relapse or experiencing things I have never felt before. My rela cause my normal symptoms (pain, fatigue, numbness, weakness, etc) increase significantly and last longer than a week. I do also check in with my Primary Care Physician either once a month, or once every other month.
Unless it’s effecting my quality of life I tell him every six months at my checkups. The nurse that does my infusions asks me if I have new symptoms every month, I’m assuming they would contact my neurologist if it was serious.
