Navigating MS, relapse recovery, and missing cannabis as a creative outlet

Hey everyone, I’d love to hear from anyone in the community who has gone through something similar. Before quitting cannabis, I used to smoke weed regularly while making music, working on visual art, and getting into deep creative work. Over time, it definitely became a crutch for me — I relied on it to calm my mind, reduce the constant internal noise, quiet down sensory overload, and slide effortlessly into a creative "flow state." I’ve now been completely sober for 25+ days. While I know stepping away from smoking is the right move for my brain and overall health while managing Multiple Sclerosis, I have to admit I'm feeling a bit down and sad about it. I miss having that familiar outlet to rely on when I'm trying to create, and letting go of that ritual hasn't been easy. On top of the transition, getting into that deep creative immersion feels so much harder right now. I can still sit down and work, but the focus and inspiration don't come naturally like they used to. To add to the complexity, I recently had an MS relapse and was treated with high-dose IV corticosteroids. I know that recovery from a relapse, corticosteroid withdrawal, anxiety, fatigue, and the general stress on my nervous system could all be heavy contributors to this brain fog and lack of creative drive. Has anyone else living with MS experienced something similar after quitting cannabis? How did you navigate the loss of that creative routine, manage the emotional side of giving it up, and find your way back into flow while recovering from a relapse?
