Flashing light

I just saw a post about seeing flashing light trying to go to sleep. It is something I had since I was in my 20s and never thought about it. If I heard a loud sound I would sense feel a flash of light and thought it was normal. I’m not concerned just wondering if this was common or not. I try to not jump to symptom just something that’s in my mind now.

Have you looked up "Exploding Head Syndrome" symptoms? (the name is scary but it's considered a harmless condition) Flashes of light and hearing loud thunder/explosion noises at night are common with EHS.
