What hobbies have you picked up since being diagnosed with MS?
Before my MS diagnosis I was very active from playing football competitively, running and lots of other hobbies such as fine art etc
I felt I lost a lot of my hobbies because of my diagnosis and relapses I had- so I was curious if anyone else has found other pastimes that are less demanding and help with pacing.
I got back into playing guitar in 2020 playing 6 hours a day sometimes more! Diagnosed last year and am so grateful that I put in the hard work then because now I still play but can’t go for that long without my right hand feeling numb and tingly from a relapse I had last year. I stopped cricket and golf but will play a bit when I’m up to it. Guitar is my go to hobby it’s a passion and therapy. I can now make up a new tune when I play and it’s a nice way to express myself and forget all about the ms…. Until my hand gets tired!
I like to make little models out of plastercine. Looking forward to doing that with my son when he gets a bit older. My grandad was a sculptor so am inspired by him!
