DISABILITY BENEFITS EXPERIENCE
I’m in the process of applying for disability benefits. What was your experience like? How long did it take for approval? What was the set back that caused your denial? What tips do you have? I am currently in phase 3 of 5. They sent me an “Activities of Daily Living Questionnaire”

Oh, I just applied. It’s so draining to apply because they just wanted to deny you. I believe that’s like they’re Ultimate goal. It’s a very unfortunate situation and standard of practice
For my SSDI I filled myself the first time, got denying. Then I got an attorney, she was great. It took about two years. It's all about documentation and proper wording. I went to vocational rehab while I was waiting. The said I am not suitable for employment. My hearing didn't go how I thought it would go. The judge called my name. My attorney introduced me to the judge. The judge started reading what my attorney wrote. The judge was reading what she wrote for about ten Minutes then stopped suddenly. He then said, "enough of this stuff. Get out of my Courtroom. You will get a letter in about two weeks that I fully ruled in your favor. Leave now." Then he called the next person. My attorney said your good let's talk outside. I was nervous because I thought the judge would ask my a lot of questions. I didn't say a word inside the Courtroom.
