Rebif

Hello everyone, I’d like to ask a question to those who have experience with Rebif. I’ve been on it for about one year now. Sometimes I feel like I’m doing well and making progress, but other times I experience mental weakness, fatigue, and changes in how I feel physically. I’m wondering if anyone here has been on Rebif for a longer period, and how your experience has been in the long term. Is this kind of feeling a normal part of the process, or something to be more cautious about? Any shared experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi I was on Rebif for 12 years, it did help to keep the relapses tolerable (reduced effects), my only issue was the injections, after about 40mins, I felt as if I had the flu, aches, shivering etc minus the coughing and sneezing. The next day was always tired and a bit run down. The only way to try to counteract was with a hot water bottle and pain killers. I have tried alternatives with tablets (forgot the name) which was worse. But I have to admit, when I was given a choice of injections, I choose it by the needle size. It did reduce symptoms of relapses, at the end of the day you have to try to manage, if not you need to discuss with the MS nurses, they will help. You do not need to do this on your own, I find the nurses are brilliant, no question to small or big.

@ahmedbaroud...for me, Rebif was the worst DMT because of the side effects. My whole being was hurt, including my mental well-being. I switched my DMT because I was like a living corpse. It's one of the classic (old) S DMTs with mediocre effectiveness. You need a new effective DMT, so your quality of life improves. Good Luck!
