MS Journey

I was born into a loving family, but life wasn’t always easy. Both of my parents passed away when I was young, leaving me and my brother under the care of my uncle, my father’s brother. In their home, I grew up alongside my cousins, who were my age, and together, we faced the trials of life.” I worked hard and studied well, eventually graduating with an MBA. I faced challenges, but I kept moving forward. In those years, like many, I also fell in love. Many times, I thought I found ‘the one,’ but it wasn’t until I met her that my heart settled. We got married, and life was beginning to feel like a dream.” My wife and I decided to move to the UK, chasing new opportunities, new dreams. But life had a twist I never saw coming.” “Just as we were about to start our new life, I suddenly lost my memory. It was a shock to us all. After many tests, the doctors finally told me I had MS—Multiple Sclerosis.” “But my story didn’t end there. Despite the diagnosis, despite the setbacks, we moved to the UK. Life is different now, but I am living it—one day at a time. My wife and I are together, happy. I’ve learned that strength comes from within and that happiness is a choice, even in the face of challenges.” The final scene shows the couple walking hand in hand in a peaceful UK landscape, smiling, with text on the screen: “My journey with MS continues, but I choose joy. Every single day.”

Memory.... Yes, I too had a problem with Memory. Being diagnosed in the year of Covid 19, my wife asked me to go to Wendy's and get some chili. Now, we have lived in our house for 35 years and are, or were, familiar with the area. I had no clue where Wendy's was! My wife then decided it was best to ride with me and guide me. It took a few months to get acquainted with everything.
