Switch treatment or hold off ??

Hey everyone (sorry long post) Looking for advice, opinion or just really something. I completed mavenclad treatment in 2023 and have been having regular monitoring - all ok. I recently had mri and results have shown a new lesion - this was obviously a kick in the butt but after meeting with my consultant he has said we can either rescan in 6months or change treatments. Consultant has said it’s a grey area as usually 2 or more lesions indicates the treatment has failed and to change(it’s not though so I initially thought let’s roll with this and see how it pans out) as it’s only 1 and we’ll rescan. But then he went on to say yeah it’s only 1 in a short space and drug is supposed to stop this. Yeah If I wasn’t conflicted already.. 🙄 Might get hate or disapproval at this part; in Feb this year I opted to get breast augmentation (my choice, after my diagnosis I lost so much weight and now borderline 7st - yes I’ve tried to put weight on and met with dieticians but no one can explain. Basically I didn’t feel myself and this was my option to feel more like my old self. I’m definitely more happier and more confident in my own crappy body. I personally think that this legion was maybe a result of the surgery I had and when my body was recovering - my consultant doesn’t think this is the case tho. I feel since completing mavenclad I’ve been more stable. Was looking for anyone else’s insight… as I don’t know if I really want to start a whole new treatment

Well you’re in the UK, I’m in the US, I have been on many treatments in 20 years of MS, been on Ocrevus for 5 years now, as long as there are no new lesions when I do my yearly MRI in August I’m staying, if there are any changes I will switch to something different

I can’t recall how many new lesions they found after mavenclad for myself (one or two I believe) but my neurologist recommended I switch, and I’ve been on kesimpta just over a year now, and not one new lesion! A friend of mine who also did mavenclad had some come up as well and her dr went with a third round of mavenclad, so it all really depends. Personally I agreed with my neurologist that if I was having new lesions at all, mavenclad was no longer working for me.
