Surgery
I've had knee surgery about 3 years ago ACL replacement as well as meniscus repair and through the years it seemed like I've never healed. I just found out in the beginning of this year I have MS. A few days ago I finally got an MRI on my knee after me complaining for so long that my knee buckles and I'm in pain everyday. Couple weeks ago I had a physical therapist asked me am I sure this pain is not just in my head!! Back to the MRI on my knee I had a few days ago well I can read the results on my chart and it says my ligament is thinning and loose and I have a meniscus tear. As I've always known it's not in my head I'm not making anything up. My knee doctor put in his notes that due to my MS I am not a good candidate for reconstruction of my knee!!! That is not right they can't leave me like this!! I have a appointment with my neurologist on the 1st that's the first thing I'm going to ask them of course and then the 28 th I have an appointment with my orthopedic to discuss the results. My question is, has anybody been denied surgery because they have MS?
Yesterday's appointment with my neurologist went well and they put in the notes for my orthopedic saying that that I would be okay to have surgery!
