Leg weakness - is it always a relapse?

Hello! I’ve been diagnosed this year with highly active RRMS . My last relapse was July 2024 with a lesion showing as active at C1/C2 level of the spine. It was only sensory (pins and needles neck down) and slowly improved over the months. I still get pins and needles intermittently in the hands. The past three days I’ve been a bit more fatigued than usual (admittedly could be hormonal) and today my right leg feels a little unusual -slight ache in the knee and groin and there seems a slight weakness when pushing the right leg up. I just wondered is this regular with MS or is this signs of a new relapse. In the past I got occasional leg aches. I’m meant to start treatment (tysabri) this coming week 🫣. Thank you in advance ☺️

It possibly is a relapse. an mri will determine if it is. I have been diagnosed with the RRMS back in 2009 and was put on an avonex weekly injection in 2018. a few weeks ago I took a relapse which affected my right foot and leg (loss of sensation), had to get steroids and put on a iv drip in the hospital for 5 days and got mri done. so getting my meds changed now on Tuesday hopefully at my appointment. hope all goes well for u 🙏
