Advice and feedback

So I've had MS for 10 years and these past 3 months I've had 8 falls the most I've had in 10 years. I don't think i have relapsed, I think I have just lost my balance because before the 3 months of falling over I did notice that a few months back before the falls I was holding onto stuff so I could move from one location to another. I think personally from have big toe nails removed, holding onto objects to move and the heat just tipped me over the edge so I do think that if physio can help me with balance exercises it should realistically get me back walking without a frame. I want to know what everyone thinks about this? Thanks in advance. Jon :)

I also have issues with falling for no reason. I think my feet trip over each other. Left leg has the "foot drop". Physical therapy won't hurt. Also ask your neurologist tho check your spinal cord, I has 2 vertebra punch my spinal cord, had to have them fused. Seem to help but not heal, I still fall but not as bad.

This page is from Ms Canada page. You can see their explanation. If it continues talk to Ms specialist and use the aids they refer to. Balance, and vertigo, or dizziness problems are common in MS and their management can be difficult. These symptoms are caused by lesions in the areas that coordinate visual, spatial and other input needed to produce and maintain equilibrium. Balance and dizziness may present as symptoms of a relapse, or may be permanent, and can pose increased safety risk for falls. Management Some balance problems can be overcome with a walking aid. Walking aids should only be used with the instruction of a trained professional to ensure proper gait alignment. A home assessment for safety conducted by an occupational therapist can be helpful to identify potential hazards and to suggest strategies for a safe approach to activities of daily living.
