Hello!
Hello all! I'm unsure if this is the correct spot, but I want to introduce myself. My name is Teddy, I'm from the US, and I was diagnosed with RRMS in May of 2023. Both my Grandma and Aunt had MS, so I actually knew a lot about it when I was hit with the freight train, which is a diagnosis. But I believe there are many adventures ahead — I’m a comics writer and editor. I’m writing a comic about a Monster Hunter struggling with MS. It’s going into production this spring, and it’s been a very cathartic experience writing the story and releasing a lot of the inner thoughts I’m sure we all deal with constantly dealing with MS. Anyway, I'm excited to become an active member of this community because while i have a fabulous support network, no one but you all know what it's like living with this every day. I hope you are having a great day wherever you may be!
Cheers, killer idea about the monster hunter, can see how exploring that might be cathartic, what kinda monsters do they hunt? do they find a monster? are there just traces of damage? so manyy possibilities, lols. Please please post pre launch info on here.
@friendly_james glad you like it, dude! A little more info about the story below for you: It is said that meteors wiped out the dinosaurs, but they were just airstrikes carried out by the true cause of destruction — Galactic Monsters. In their prime, they ruled Earth with an iron first, immune to humanity's weapons, until the discovery of a rare earth ore, Tangscalite, led to the rise of Monster Hunters. For generations, The Society of Monster Hunters has safeguarded Earth from Monster incursions, but Krachu has come to reclaim the kingdom his family once oversaw, and it’s up to legendary hunter Eloy, who is experiencing unexplained muscle weakness and brain fog, to stop him. Written by Teodoro Leo, MISERY & STRENGTH is an action-packed monster-hunting story interwoven with the ups and downs of adjusting to life with Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis, a yet-to-be-cured disease in which the immune system eats away at the protective covering of the bodies nerves, resulting in damage that disrupts communication between the brain and body.
