MS, 55 and menopause

Has any other females noticed a major slow down in your ability to get things done post menopausal?? I have to work on something for a while, take a break and then start back again. I retired last July at 55. So I have plenty of time but feel like I should be able to knock things out like I did in my 30’s-40’s. I think I need to give myself more grace and just take all the time I need. But it still hurts my pride that things take so long to complete. Anyone else facing this issue? How are you coping?? Thanks in advance for your answers, Tammy Diagnosed 1999

Tammy, I am 53 and I think menopause has just hit me —-hit me hard! I don’t like it. IT seems now I am having icy cold burning pain all day, punctuated by multiple spells of HOT burning achy pain in my arms and legs. The constant nature of the aching is surely slowing me down. The fatigue is heaviest around mid-day. So, if something needs to be done, I have to plan to do it between 8am and 12pm, otherwise, it has to wait. I am generally slower in getting things done. So I just wanted to respond to you. I don’t know the solution. On mornings when I feel well enough to give exercise a try, then I really pay the price that afternoon. Ugg! At least for me, I look forward to warmer weather as I feel a bit better when the temperature is 72 or above…and I can get outside and get a bit more exercise.
