Anybody know the WHY dairy/cheese is “bad” for MS?

So, before I knew I had MS, I was Keto for a couple of years. I was at the lowest weight I’ve ever maintained as an adult and cheese (good, quality cheese, not sawdust covered shredded garbage from Walmart) was my go to. I felt good at that weight, didn’t feel inflamed (I guess, I mean, I’m in my 50’s so something is always sore but I felt good. I had a hard time keeping up with the diet though and eventually stopped worrying about it and the severe calorie restriction it took me to maintain it. I’m about 10 lbs heavier not following keto but 🤷‍♀️. I’m just curious if anybody has done the deep dive on it. How could I have felt so good eating cheese literally everyday because it was one of the few easy on the go snacks that satisfied hunger? I may not have been diagnosed yet but I obviously already had MS and I did not feel negative effects from it. Just curious…

They say dairy/cheese may cause inflammation but, it doesn’t stop me consuming it, everything in moderation imho. 🧀

I’m not convinced being non dairy helps. There’s contrasting opinions - mainly that the only reason there’s a link between MS and dairy is that MS is common in northern hemisphere/places cows live and dairy is eaten! Then others are convinced it causes inflammation. For me, dairy free for 18 months did nothing. So I’m back enjoying cheese and milk, but have discovered sugar and carbs are my big no no. I’ve cut out sugar and stick to around 100g carbs per day. Not completely keto but low carb. It’s made a big difference. Plus intermittent fasting. I feel less tired and helps keep weight down. (I’ve lost 7 stone btw).
