I thought my energy was random… turns out it wasn’t

I’ve been using my Garmin to track HRV and honestly… it’s been a bit of a game changer for me. I used to feel like my energy was random. Some days I’d push and feel fine, other days I’d do the same and get wiped out the next day. Thought it was just MS being chaotic. But looking at my HRV over time, it’s actually not random at all. When it’s in the green, I can handle more. When it dips, that’s usually when I’ve overdone it, slept badly, or stress has crept in… and that’s when the fatigue hits after. What’s helped most is pacing. Not in a restrictive way, just learning when to push a bit and when to back off. It’s basically unlocked energy I didn’t realise I had because I’m not constantly crashing anymore. You don’t need a fancy watch to start with this either. Just understanding pacing and listening to your body gets you most of the way there. The watch just makes it a bit spooky how accurate it is 😅 It’s like seeing how you feel before you actually feel it. Curious if anyone else tracks HRV or uses anything similar?

This is the first I've ever heard of HRV (heart rate variability) and after looking into it, I'm intrigued. Having a metric to avoid crashes sounds great. Have you found ways to influence your HRV, hopefully for the better?

Yup that’s the game I have ups and downs but I started doing the gym 14-20 min a day treadmill and it changed my energy level I stopped for about 6-8 months and paid for it badly I’m back in there starting over it’s more work and body paying for it but I shall not stop
