Annual neurology appointment done ✅
During the examination she asked me to relax my legs, lifted them and immediately went, “Wow, they’re very good.”
Went in for an MS review, came out with a five-star leg rating. 😂💪
She was also reassuring about the length of time I’ve been on CD20 meds. She explained that significant relapses tend to be uncommon in patients who’ve been on them as long as I have.
Apparently I’m the gold-standard MSer. Civil servant, three kids, gym membership. Slight electrical faults, occasionally drags a leg, but starts most mornings. 😂🏆
We discussed BTK inhibitors too. They’re on the roadmap, and she said I could be a good candidate when a suitable option becomes available.
Normally she’d move to MRIs every two years in my circumstances, but we’re sticking with yearly because I’m an anxious bugger. Even the gold-standard model needs an annual MOT. 😂
Chest CT came back good too. Still producing enough phlegm to establish my own wetland habitat, so she’s arranging samples.
Came away feeling reassured and listened to. MS still gets on my tits, but today was a good appointment. 👊

I'm a Civil Servant with gym membership but only have 2 kids not 3. Do I thus get the Silver-standard MSer rating?😉 Or can i have Gold like you as I leave the car at home and cycle to the gym? 🚴🏼♀️ 🏅/🥈
