1970s MS is not the same as 2026 MS

3am. The baby decided sleep was optional 😂 No crying, no hunger, just vibes, smiling and making little noises like she’d had a double espresso and was ready for a TED Talk. My wife was exhausted trying to settle her, so I got up, brought the baby downstairs and let my wife get some sleep. She said “that’s super husband stuff” and honestly
that meant a lot. I’m absolutely knackered today 😅 but this is what people don’t always see with RRMS. Life doesn’t stop. Kids still wake up. Work still happens. Washing still piles up like a side quest from Skyrim. 80 months into RRMS now and one thing I’ve learned is this: 1970s MS is not the same as 2026 MS. Modern DMTs, pacing, exercise, physio, better understanding, better support systems
the game has changed massively. It’s still a fight, but it’s no longer the story many people imagine in their heads. You can still be a parent. Still work. Still train. Still laugh. Still show up for your family at 3am like a sleep-deprived Batman 🩇☕ Some days the win isn’t a marathon or a PB. Sometimes the win is just helping your partner survive the night.
