surprisingly good

I've experience a lot of depression and self-isolating lately. I sat and cried in my neurology appointment the other day. I take meds and go to therapy. My doc was satisfied that I'm able to move about independently. He suggested a small pet to help with mood and pain managemen. . Apparently my fish and house plants don't count. Who knew? 🤦🏻‍♀️😉 So, my amazing boyfriend (sounds weird "boyfriend" at my age 55. My family and I at family dinner were trying to figure out another way to say boyfriend. We came up with silly things that all sound like a code word for "h○○ker." 🤣 Gentleman caller, man friend, etc. Great laugh. Important), anyway (notorious squirrel moment) he got me a mini Boston Terrier. (Mr. Higgins Boston Baked Beans- Beans for short) I was overwhelmed at first. He has turned out to be a perfect fit. We became super buddies very quickly. Being responsible for him has really lightened my mood and keeps me a bit active. I know not for everyone. He really helps with frustration and pain management. He gives me an alternative focus. Just wanted to share that story.

Love this. Also love the aside about other terms for “boyfriend” 🤣🤣🤣
