Injections...🤨

Im on Avonex. The day after my injection, My whole body feels severely bruised. It is painful to walk, sit, lie down, wear clothes, have covers on...just dont touch me. Anyone else get this? I had a MRI the other day. I have several new lesions, but YAY, none in my spinal cord. But here's the thing, I have a great boyfriend who is amazingly caring and gentle and takes such good care of me on really bad days. However, sometimes I feel like I should break up with him because these days (for me)are very hard on me mentally (I've always been VERY independent),emotionally(starting to adjust to a new "norm"), and embarrassment(that he has to take care of me.) We've been together are quite a while. I know I won't, but I hate that I think that. Anyone else ever feel like that?

I’ve been on Avonex for four years now and it’s been brilliant. It takes a long time to get used to the side effects but eventually you get to a point where the are not as bad at all. I just get headache and feel a bit achy now. I take paracetamol beforehand and then every four hours til the next day. Drink lots of water. I used to take it at night but found it worse as gave me a bad nights sleep. Now I take it Sunday lunchtime and chill out the rest of the day, get a good nights sleep and I’m ok by Monday. Trust me, it does get easier and has been brilliant at halting my symptoms.

@JulietteUK I've been on Avonex and Copaxone before. Then I had quite a number of years feeling my very best. I got really sick after my mom died and ended up with pneumonia- prone to it. After that, my symptoms kept becoming more and more noticeable to myself and the people around me.
