I miss being able to walk…

And I miss not peeing myself. I don’t even want to go anywhere, I can’t remember the last time I left my house to do something that wasn’t a doctor’s appointment. I feel like I’m stuck in an endless cycle of grief.

It is hard and we are all different. I am stuck in hospital right now due to a fall I had on my driveway going to move the car. Been here a month and there was one very bad day that I was crying constantly and just had way too much time to dwell and think far too much. I am a happy person even when things are bad that just the way I function but when I had that bad day everything seemed negative. But then I think to myself I am here all be it some dis functional parts are with me too. But I am here, here for my son, I used to be a nurse and worked in palliative care for children and so I always think to myself yes it is bad and it’s good to validate your feeling that way if that the way you feel and it good to talk too there is nothing wrong in that at all but I always think too there might be someone a lot worse off than me out there and that what makes me feel ok my feeling are totally valid but have a good cry and acknowledge it and then I try to move on from that. It not always easy and we all deal with think very differently. Don’t beat yourself up about it it’s good you recognise it and you are going to grieve about how your body may of been and let yourself. But your body is still perfect but just in a different way x
