A relapse query

Hello! I’m sophs, I am 19 years old! And have been suffering with RRMS since I was 14. I was diagnosed with MS 2 years ago after I went blind in my left eye. In 2020 I was screwed over by Covid, i suffered my first relapse, I was 14 during this time. I selfishly went paralysed in my right hand. When my hand went numb it was a couple of months before we went into lockdown. I booked a doctors appointment, and sadly it was cancelled since we went into lockdown the day before the appointment. Every time I’ve had a relapse I’ve kinda just woke up with it. Im eager to know, if I were to have a relapse mid day, is there any signs? I was told to just look it up on google, but last time I went on google, I was told I’d only have a few months to live, which was clearly not the case. I have a feeling I’m due for another relapse soon as my relapses were 2 years apart, but it’s now been 3 years relapse free, which I’m totally grateful for, but just a bit anxious as I don’t know what to expect.

Hello! Some people don’t ever get relapses once they start treatment so it might be that you won’t 🙂

Good Morning Sophie, as per what Sally said, once you start on the treatment, DMT, you may find your relapses subside, as long as you don’t push yourself too much doing activities. 😀👍
