nurologist' slow on, diagnosing early stages of ms?
Is it me or are nurologist' slow on, diagnosing early stages of ms? From my experience, while reading post and profiles, over the years, an early diagnoses is quite rear. There has to be a deeper reasoning behind this?

I believe it is due to the original method of diagnosing ms via the McDonald criteria which requires lesions to be disseminated in both time and space. These were only revised in 2024 which now allow for other biomarkers to be used (o bands, symptoms or just number of lesions alone).
I also feel it might be due to the damage done by misdiagnosing people with other diseases as MS and then maybe also vis-a-vis the hitting hard and fast approach. Maybe they just want to be super certain to be on the safe side?
