Working time back at work- appointments

Hello all, Quick question, if you have appointments related to your condition that mean you need to leave work, under disability law do you have to make up the hours at work? Thank you :)

MS is automatically classed as a disability under the Equality Act. There isn’t a blanket legal right to paid time off for every medical appointment, but paid time off for disability-related appointments can be a reasonable adjustment. Your employer should consider your individual circumstances rather than automatically making you repay every hour. Check your disability-leave policy and formally request it as a reasonable adjustment—your union, HR or Acas can help if they refuse.

You will need to check your employment contract. As @St1gzy suggests, try having an informal chat to your HR dept first - you may find your line manager hasn't spoken to them & doesn't realise you have rights. Good luck - I hope you get sorted
